Outdoor lane pool
Our second 25m, 1.15m deep pool is located outside. This pool is also heated, so a great place to do your swim training. It is open for the public and supervised by lifeguards. Matamata swimming club train here all year round.
Please note that there are some regular bookings for the outdoor pool, which means the whole pool is not always available.
Dive pool
The 2.74m deep dive pool is heated to a comfortable 28 degrees. The dive pool is available for training and rehab with access to equipment such as aqua belts and dumbbells. It is also a fun place for jumping, bombing and diving with a bombing platform this pool is loads of fun for kids of all ages! Competent swimmers only and children under the age of 8 years must be actively supervised by a caregiver 16 years or older at all times.
Toddler pool
The toddler pool is ideal for kids of any age - with a sloped floor it means young ones can safely play in the water. This pool is supervised by lifeguards, but parents must stay within arms reach of their children at all times. Please note that there are some regular bookings for the toddler's pool, which mean the whole pool is not always available.
Lifeguards are on duty at all times however the National Pool Alone Policy stipulates that children under the age of 8 years must be actively supervised by a caregiver 16 years or older at all times. This means being within sight, within reach and being able to provide immediate assistance.
Supervision of young children is a shared responsibility for all the community and lifeguards play an important role in this. However ultimate responsibility lies with the caregiver. Your children are precious, please keep a close eye on them at all times.
