Swimming details:
Mini Moo category is held in the learner pool which is 1m deep and 15m in length. Swimmers will complete two lengths of this pool, up one side of the pool and down the other.
Calf Club is held in the 50m pool, which is 1.5 deep at its shallowest point, meaning that many younger children may be unable to stand.
Swim platforms will be positioned at the 25m turnaround point and lifeguards will be physically in the water at each turnaround point to provide assistance. Swimmers will exit via the ramp for the run section.
Transition details:
The transition will take place within the pool grounds by the learner pool for Mini Moo, and inside the toddler pool gate for Calf Club participants. We encourage children to bring a bucket to place their goggles and cap in transition for after the swim. They can leave a filled water bottle and place their sneakers and t-shirt/shorts for running. This is not compulsory but provides athletes with the opportunity to practice transition.
Running details:
Children will exit out the back gate of Swim Zone and head via the marked cones and marshalls to the recreation grounds where they will complete the running section. Mini moo will run towards the cricket nets through the first gate (21) turn left and run back through gate 13 towards the tennis courts and along to the back gate of Swim Zone. Calf Club will run straight through gate 21 (by the cricket nets) to the end of the polo grounds (towards gate 17) run towards gate 15 and back through gate 13 towards the tennis courts and back to the side gate of Swim Zone (by the cricket club rooms). Both categories re-enter the pool area and head to the prize table to collect their certificate and swim voucher.
Prize giving:
Will take place after the last runner has finished the course at approximately 7pm. Spot prizes will be distributed to those children present.
Free Swim:
All athletes competing in Splash and Dash can have a free swim after the event is finished – approximately 6.30–7.15pm. Depending on the weather, the inflatables will be put out for family enjoyment. Outdoor games will also be available. Bring your own picnic to enjoy with your family after the race.

Parking is available at the recreation ground car park, with limited parking at the back of the facility. Cureton street side parking will cater for the overflow. No parking will be available on the cricket grounds due to the new pitch being laid.
